A Little Phone Interview Advice

Job Interview

Job Interview (Photo credit: dichromatic winson)

I found this piece of information quite interesting as I was researching information online today. So I thought I would pass it on.

In previous blogs I gave advice on how to prepare for a phone interview; in essence you treat your phone interview exactly as you would a normal job interview. Here’s where I depart from that advice:

Sit in front of a mirror.

You can immediately see how you are coming across. Do you look animated? Are you smiling? These things might translate into feeling more confident and positive.

I would add to this advice, to practice your interview answers in front of a mirror too. Then talking to the interviewer while monitoring yourself in the mirror won’t seem so strange. You will have done it already.
